BKD Merino Singles is a classis amongst hand dyed yarn. Merino is superwash treated and has a slight single-ply twist that allows it to take up color beautifully in layers and when speckled gives sharp, defined speckles. It is also very soft to the skin, making it suitable for baby, children clothing, shawls and items worn next to the skin. If handwashed and layed to dry, this yarn keeps its color and shape, with little pilling. This made it one of the most popular yarn forknitting patterns:
