Material

Hand dyed yarn from a small artistic studio in Berlin, Germany.

Colourway Sage is a very slightly variegated pastel light green.  Available on all bases.

All established colourways are dyed-to-order. Once you place your order, I will dye yarn in one dye lot, so to avoiding strong colour variations. Subtle colour variations are always present, even in the small, unique dye lots. Therefore, it is recommended to alternate two or three yarn skeins at a time when knitting bigger projects.

Bear in mind that different yarn bases differently take up colour: merino singles are ususally used as a reference. Silky yarn gives a certain shine to the colourway, whereas linen, alpaca or mohair attenuatte the colour and make it more "distressed', giving it a certain used, grungy look.

All my colors are available for pre-order on all bases:

DYEING PROCESS: all colorways are done by me with chemically binding colors in a process of pot dyeing or kettle dyeing in all its variants. This laborious work gives the wool fiber unique color tones that ressemble aquarell painting and are not entirely replicable. That is why it is always recommended to ordering enough skeins for a particular project.

BLEEDING & CARE: I simmer the dyes for a long time to avoid bleeding, but please, do note that all dyes, even the industrially applied ones, bleed and fade over time. I recommend handwashing or machine wool wash cycle with similar colors for superwash treated yarn.

PROCESSING TIME: After your order is placed, I will dye your yarn in the same week, if not otherwise communicated in advance. If there is a delay in your order, I will let you know. I use DHL worldwide, priority with tracking, as a shipping carrier. This means it will take about 5 working days within EU and 10 working days worldwide to receiving your yarn. Within Germany, DHL delivers usually within 2-3 working days.
